Each semester, PPA member activity is tallied by a point system. This system is used to determine who is considered an active member, eligible for running for officer, and rewards for outstanding members at the end of the year. UHPPA also sends a list of all active members to the College of Pharmacy at U of H at the end of each school year. Specific details of the point system are shown below.

Points Requirements:

50 points per year are required to receive “Active” status
Minimum 25 points per semester for 2 consecutive semesters are required to be eligible to run for an officer position at the annual officer election.
Do NOT wait until the Spring semester to get the points. Due to the cold weather in the winter, there are less volunteer events. Also, the majority of members would be catching up on points; therefore, volunteer events get filled very fast.

How points are calculated:

4 points per volunteer event (some are awarded with less points)
1 point per meeting
1 point for wearing the current PPA T-shirt at PPA events or meetings (exception exists).
1 point for car pool to and from events
Half the amount of points gained for participating will be deducted for every no-show at events that require registration. To avoid this, please remember to send a cancellation email at least 72 hours before the event if you cannot participate.

2011-2012 Member Points Sheet (Updated 01-20-12)

Events from 8/22 to 11/11 are now final. Points for the Sixth and Seventh Fall Meetings, Third Bake Sale, Via Calori: The Street Painting Festival, Fall/Winter Social, Second Blood Drive, Individual Volunteering Hours, and Cougar Trading Card events have been updated. Disputes for the updated events should be handled by our Second Spring meeting (02/07/12).

All events from 10/5 – 11/2 have now been posted. Any disputes should be emailed to uofhppa@gmail.com by November 15th (Sixth General Meeting).
